About us
Welcoming class for non-native newcomers
You are young and foreign-speaking? Between the ages of 11 and 18? You have been living in Belgium for less than a year? You want to learn Dutch as soon as possible to study in Belgium? The faster you learn Dutch, the faster you can choose a field of study that suits you in one of the SMSI schools.
OKAN stands for Reception Class of Other-Speaking Newcomers. You will receive an intensive language bath in Dutch for 10 months. After about a year of OKAN, you move on to regular education. Speaking, listening, writing and reading are key !
