In OKAN, we work with the developmental goals for OKAN. The students go through during the OKAN year 3 phases.
- In a first phase evolve from absolute newcomer to someone who is approachable in Dutch.
- In a second phase evolve toward self-reliance in Dutch.
- In a third stage the follow-up process takes shape. You follow a trial and orientation period. This means that you join the regular classes for one or more subjects. This can happen within the school or in another school. After OKAN, we work even further on your knowledge of Dutch. A follow-up coach follows you up further.
